Synopsis
This facilitation skills training program is to equip participants to conduct cancer care support group meetings (via zoom) for cancer patients. You will learn to emphatize and walk alongside cancer patients in their journey towards healing and recovery with the love and power of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Conducting a 12-session emotional and spiritual health program for cancer patients

Understanding cancer diagnosis, types of treatment and treatment processes, nutrition tips and managing side-effects (by a Senior Christian Oncologist)

Essential counselling skills to manage clients like anxiety, fear, worry, anger, etc.

Levels of caring skills needed at different stages of a cancer journey

Cultivate Spirit-led prayers for cancer patients and caregivers

Principles and practices of home and hospital visitation to cancer patients

Working with core issues faced by caregivers in their cancer caregiving journey

Integrating new cancer patients into the church cell/care group ministry

Trainer
Robin Png is the Care Pastor for The Restorative Hearts Ministry, ministering to cancer patients and persons with mental wellness concerns. He is the author of six devotional books including My Grace Is Sufficient: A 30-Day Devotional for Cancer Patients. He is a trained counsellor and clinical member with the Singapore Association for Counselling. He holds a Master in Divinity (Pastoral Counselling, EAST) and a Graduate Diploma (Psychotherapy, NUS).

A Two-Time Cancer Survivor
Format: Lecture, video, role play, 2 live observation (zoom), group discussion, QA time.
Session: 6
Duration: 3 hour per session
Venue: On site
For whom: Church staff, cancer survivors, cell leaders and anyone who wants to be
equipped.
Course materials: Full set of course materials (12-session PP slides), a 50-page
seminar workbook, and a devotional book on cancer wellness.
