I was diagnosed with stage 3 multiple myeloma at the end of April 2025. My haematologist outlined the treatment plan: six months of weekly injections with oral medications, followed by a PET scan to assess progress. I would also undergo stem cell harvesting, involving five days of self-administered booster injections and a short hospital stay for collection.
Afterward, I would need to stay almost a month in the hospital for intensive chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. With all these plans laid before me, I knew that aside from medical help, only Jesus Christ could be my Saviour and Deliverer.
A lump was discovered on my left rib, and my kidney protein levels were dangerously elevated. The specialists warned that kidney dialysis might be needed if hydration did not improve my condition. After a week of constant hydration, my kidney function was restored, and the protein levels returned to normal.
Throughout my six months of treatment, I felt a deep sense of peace as I meditated on Bible verses while walking in the park, allowing me to draw strength from God. The PET scan results were promising: the lump was gone, and although myeloma cells were undetected, I was still in partial remission, as a minor trace remained in my bone marrow through a blood test. Still, I praise the Lord for His healing and restoration!
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. - Psalm 1:2
My stem cell harvesting went smoothly, and I was discharged within a day. The collections were more than enough! Moving to my final stage of chemotherapy and stem cell transplant was challenging. I experienced severe fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite, and hair loss. At my weakest, I prayed and called on Jesus to lift me up. I began to regain my strength and appetite, and I am thankful that God’s mercies are new every morning! I was discharged on the 16th day.

Through every step of this journey, I continue to place my trust in Jesus, for I am His creation, and He will bring complete healing upon me.
